After completing the Course, graduates would be transferred to a Special Reserve requiring no further military service for the duration of their six-year obligatory responsibility except when a Congressionally-authorized conflict requires their transferring to active duty for a limited time.

Upon completion of BT, graduates would have two options: 1) transferring to active duty after completing the Course. Or 2), discharging immediately but enabled to request active duty service at any time during their remaining six-year military service obligation.

Military recruiting offices and Selective Service would no longer be needed.

There would be no exemptions from attending the two-month basic training course except for physical disabilities limited to under-developed or missing limbs. However, even these cases can be required to attend a form of Basic Training that accommodates their disability, as would their being assigned a Military Occupational Specialty that is commensurate with the limitations of their individual disability should any subsequent active-duty military service become necessary.
