Should Congress Enact A Law Requiring Veterans Who Served In Vietnam To Be Authorized A High School Equivalency Diploma?

TOPIC: To assist returning WW2 vets to find upwardly mobile employment the U.S. Congress signed a bill requesting states to authorize all veterans who served during the war to receive a High School diploma. But because of extreme public hatred for Vietnam War veterans who did not complete High School before enlisting or being drafted, Congress refused to extend the WW2 law to include Vietnam vets. As a result some Vietnam War vets who could not find employment or lost their jobs because they did not complete High School became homeless.
