The Endowment was established to provide an internationally accessible platform to permantly display the photographs or images of military personnel, whose names are unknown, for the purpose of locating family members or others who can identify them.
The Registry of the Unknowns was established by an initial donation from The Stephen Michael Swanson Family. Future funding from generous donors dedicated to helping those seeking the identities of Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines of any nation and any period whose names have been lost or forgotten through Time will permit The Wing to grow. Until each Unknown is identified All photographs or images will be permanently preserved in This Wing with the Hope that someone will recognize them and provide any information they possess to the Family Member or Contact Person listed.

Submissions should include as much information as possible about the former or active military person's last known location, statements made that might provide locator help, name or location of military unit, names of persons known to have been in contact, names of possible children, etc.
Stephen M. Swanson, deceased, was a Group Supervisor for the United States Drug Enforcement Administration who served an exceptional and distinguished career. His Endowment was established to preserve his memory, his love of country and the men and women who served and sacrificed for their country.
